How Stop Gambling Website Helped

His Story Continues

The I stopped website had a membership which included a private chat

 room and various other resources.  They recently added a message 

board which I find is a great way to communicate with other members.  

The chat room was excellent, in the very early stages.  The chat room 

helped me very much, and when I attended the chat room, it always made 

me feel a little better.  I felt better by helping others who were also 

had a gambling addiction.  It actually helped me.  I realized time had 

gone by and I was on my own road to recovery. Even though I still 

continued to feel like my life was in limbo, I still new I will eventually 

get a job and my life will be better off.

I remember sending emails to Keith the owner of the site.  He always emailed me back and spent hours with me in the chat room.  He also emailed me his manual.  Once again

this manual helped me in so many ways.  It seemed to put reality into perspective.

 It also brings to light to the gambler once they are willing to listen and reform what the gambler has always known, but refused to hear or appreciate.  Thank you for the manual. 

Since I have gone to the website I feel that I now clearly understand 

that gambling is a very problematic and destructive addiction.  The

 damage it causes not only financially but socially is immense, so 

that is now quite clear to me.

I don’t feel that urge that I have to gamble anymore and very rarely 

have the thoughts about gambling.

I am no longer gambling but with out the continued support of the

 website and my new friends there, I feel this is giving me the 

greatest opportunity I will ever have to beat this addiction.
